Creativity is in Glenn's Genes

Glenn Scano is a native New Yorker who grew up surrounded with art and culture. Glenn's mother is an artist and clothing designer; her father was a musician and a songwriter, and her mother created ceramic figurines. Glenn's father is a sculptor; his father was a fine artist and an engineer, his mother was a harpist and pianist, and his maternal grandfather was the noted architect Angelo Zari.

Glenn has always had a passion for gaining knowledge. Throughout his schooling, he was an Honors student, excelling in math and English besides art. From 1980 to 2010, Glenn worked as an independent self–employed home improvement contractor specializing in restoring historic homes, and has designed many architectural features, such as porches, moldings, cabinets, floor inlays, and tile designs. In the same time period, Glenn also worked as a singer/songwriter and as a fine artist and craftsman selling his work at art shows and fairs; he also designed album covers, logos, and typography for bands. After a hard fall on the ice left Glenn with a destroyed knee in 2010, his next logical step was to turn to art and design on and for the World Wide Web.

In 2011, Glenn illustrated and co-published the children's eBook Monsters Do Ugly Things with his lifelong friend, writer Mark Adam Kaplan. Glenn also built the website, MonstersUnbound.com, to promote the eBook and its related products which are also designed by Glenn. Glenn and Mark have now finished their second eBook for children, Monsters Grow Up.

Glenn has earned a degree in Web Graphic Design. While in college, Glenn was accepted into the Honors program, and was on the Dean's List every semester. With his knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, typography, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design, Glenn is able to take on any Web design challenge.
