About This Site

This portfolio website was created to showcase some of my best works for the Web. I have kept this site free of any JavaScript to ensure its compatibility with all devices.

This portfolio will constantly be updated, so the works you see here today may not be here the next time you visit. I may even change the colors and styles of this website's background and navigation buttons. The fonts will also go through some changes as time goes on.

The images and websites found on the Projects page, right now, are some of my works created while earning my degree in Web Graphic Design from DeVry University Online; all works were graded 'A' by the professors. The projects are examples of how I can meet many different aspects of many different clients' needs, including poster design, ad campaign design, magazine cover design, infographic design, logo design, and website design and development. Whatever you're looking for, you will find it on my Projects page.

About Me

Photo of Glenn Scano

I was born an artist.

I am a native New Yorker who grew up surrounded with art and culture. Creativity is in my genes; I come from a long line of creative individuals on both sides of my family, including my great-grandfather, the noted architect Angelo Zari.

Before I became a designer for the Web, my design skills were applied to the restoration of historic homes, designing and building architectural features such as porches, moldings, cabinets, floor inlays, and tile designs. I am also a fine artist and craftsman, selling my work at art shows and fairs. And, as a singer/songwriter within a large network of musicians, I have also designed album covers, logos, and typography for bands.

In 2011, I illustrated and co-published the children's eBook "Monsters Do Ugly Things" with my lifelong friend, writer Mark Adam Kaplan. I also built a website to promote the eBook and its related products, which are also designed by me. Mark and I are currently working on our second eBook for children, "Monsters Grow Up."

With my ability to handle many jobs at one time, added to my knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, typography, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design, I am able to take on any web design challenge.
